UNISON is the largest UK trade union for staff across all levels and areas of work in higher education; at University of Leeds we represent in the region of 1000 members. Nationally the union negotiates and campaigns for better pay and conditions for its members as well as, more generally, for a safer, more just society.

Our branch is run by a committed group of individuals. The Officers and Stewards are all volunteers who have undertaken training to enable them to be involved in such things as consultations and negotiations on Terms and Conditions with the University; dealing with problems faced by members at work; suport for members with educational or training needs, amongst many others.

As with all unions our strength lies in our membership; the more members we have, the stronger our voice will be, the better we can represent you.
