Are you interested in taking up a part-time course this academic year? As long as the course isn’t work-related, your branch can help with the fees.* From September 2017, we are launching a new education initiative, open to all members. You could start a new course in photography, arts and crafts, yoga, Pilates or even learn a new language.

How to apply
We have a limited number of places for this first year, so just complete the attached form and send it back to this branch by post (Room 7.50, EC Stoner) or email. We will pay fees direct to the institution you have chosen and all you have to do is register for your place and look forward to starting your new course. If you have already booked and paid for your place, we will consider reimbursing you for the fees.

To give you a head start on choosing a course, here are the links to various institutions around Leeds:

LOGIK Centre
Leeds City College
Leeds College of Music (LCoM are running a range of courses which Leeds College of Art and Design previously ran)
Leeds Beckett University

Please note, as members of staff on Grades 2-4 can also access the University’s Learning for Life fund, details of which can be found here, any eligible applications we receive will be passed on to the Learning for Life team. LUU and Bright Beginnings staff are not eligible for Learning for Life, so please apply to us for any courses.

If you have any questions, please contact Andy Brown (wsdabr@leeds.ac.uk) or Angela Blackburn (a.blackburn@leeds.ac.uk)

We look forward to seeing the range of interesting courses you decide to take!
