Here is our update of what has been happening over the last week:

Member Feedback – thank you to all who have sent us feedback relating to workload and extra costs accrued over lockdown. We are awaiting a meeting with the University to discuss these issues and will let you know when we have more news.

Leeds Trinity – Trinity members will have received an email a couple of weeks ago to let them know that their rep, Dave Haslam, will be stepping down shortly. We’ll be sad to see Dave leave as he has been a rep for a long time and has been involved in supporting and advising lots of members. If anyone at Trinity would be interested in becoming a rep or workplace contact, please let the Branch know at unison@leeds.ac.uk. Full training and support is provided.

Return to Campus – if your manager has informed you that you will be returning to campus in the next few months, please ensure you complete the Return to Campus Questionnaire. We included points to consider in our email a couple of weeks ago, but if you need advice, please contact us at unison@leeds.ac.uk. Please remember, you can request the questionnaire be dealt with by HR rather than your line manager if this would make you more comfortable.

Education Fund – Our Education Fund is still available for any member who wishes to register for a course which is non work-related. The new year of funding starts in September, so if you are interested in applying, please contact us at unison@leeds.ac.uk for an application form.

Salary Increments – we have been assured that all usual annual salary increments will still be paid. If you hear otherwise or you believe your increment has not been implemented, please let us know.

As always, if you have any concerns or would like our advice on any issue, please contact us at unison@leeds.ac.uk or contact one of our Branch Reps or Officers.
