Here is a round-up of our latest news:

  • University of Leeds Parental Leave Policies – following on from our success in raising the amount of annual leave accrued by anyone using the parental leave policies (maternity leave, paternity leave and shared parental leave) to 40.5 days per year, in line with what staff would usually receive each annual leave cycle, these policies have now been updated and are available to view on the University’s HR website.
  • UNISON NEC Elections – NEC elections will be happening from 4 – 27 May, 2021.  This will be a postal ballot and your voting pack will be sent to the home address you have logged with UNISON.  To check and update your address, please log into My UNISON before 4 May.  The Branch Committee nominated candidates a few weeks ago and we will be sharing our 100-word nominating statements in the coming weeks.
  • Leeds Trinity – are you a member at Leeds Trinity?  Are you interested in getting more involved with the branch and the union?  If so, please get in touch with us at unison@leeds.ac.uk.  We are looking for a rep at Leeds Trinity to help support members.  Full training with paid time off is available for anyone interested.
  • Branch Office – a reminder that the Branch Office remains closed due to limited access to campus for staff and so we are unable to answer telephone enquiries to our office number.  If you would like to contact us, you can do so via unison@leeds.ac.uk or by contacting one of our reps and officers directly.  Some reps are currently working on campus.
